Welcome Back!

We welcome all our new and returning dancers to North London Dance Centre’s 24th season! We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our love of dance with your families in-person once again.

Covid-19 Precautions

We confirm that the following Covid-19 related precautions will continue to be followed at NLDC, and we commit to keeping you informed as guidelines change moving forward:

  1. Active screening: complete your Covid-19 screening form online in advance for anyone planning to enter our facility each day: https://forms.gle/MoFzEScDYgWxyAKJA
  2. Line up no more than 5 minutes in advance of your class & please do not block the entrances of neighbouring businesses or park in their dedicated parking spots. Please use the lines on the ground to stay 6’ apart when queuing. If the front parking lot is full, you are welcome to use any of the 60+ spots at the rear of the building.
  3. Anyone ages 2+ must wear a mask to enter & exit the facility.
  4. Anyone ages 18+ entering the facility needs to show proof of vaccination and ID. Starting Sunday, October 31st, this will apply to anyone coming in the facility ages 12+. An individual is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their second shot.
  5. Our enhanced cleaning routines will stay in place for the foreseeable future.
  6. Outdoor shoes should be taken off immediately when entering the building. Dancers should not wear their dance shoes outside. Please wear slip on shoes that are easy to remove at the front door.

Virtual Parent Viewing Week #1

We invite parents to attend their dancer’s class(es) virtually during the week of October 24-30. We have emailed parents on how to join our virtual classroom by email.

Holiday Order of NLDC Gear

🎄🎅 The online store for our holiday 2021 order is OPEN NOW, and until November 1st, at the following link: https://northlondondancecentre.secure-decoration.com There are items for toddlers, youth and adults, and items will arrive in time for Christmas. Pick up for all orders will be at the studio.

Any NLDC-branded items which we still have in stock at the studio from last season’s order are all on sale until Halloween for 15% off. Check out these items in person the next time you are in the studio!

Young Company

Proudly introducing The Young Company of North London Dance Centre for 2021-2022: Anna Archibald, Ari Burgess, Isabelle Chandler, Lyla Hajar, Nicole Jamieson, MacKenzie Mercer, Ainsley Morgan, Isabella Russell and Jenna Russell. These dedicated dancers will have the opportunity to work with a number of choreographers this year, including Pam Eddleston, Hannah Elias, Kaitlyn Torrance, and more to be announced!

Buns are Best & Uniforms

A friendly reminder that all ballet & acro students should wear a proper, ‘dancers bun’ to their classes, unless their haircut is very short. No idea what a dancer’s bun is? Check out this great how-to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMj_eaRML1w Wearing your hair in a bun ensures that students can concentrate on what is most important in class – learning and developing a love for dance! You can purchase a bun kit for $5.00 at the desk if you need supplies.

All children in our Dance Development to Level 12 classes should also be wearing their uniform to class each week. The two dancewear stores that generally keep our uniform in stock are Dancewear Plus and Pointe & Pick.

PA Day Dance Camp – November 12

Only 5 spots are still left in our Frozen-themed PA Day Dance Camp on Friday, November 12. Register online today at www.northlondondancecentre.ca/camps and have your child spend the day moving with Ms. Alexia & Ms. Isabella.

Hyde Park Santa Claus Parade

The Hyde Park Santa Claus parade is back this year in its traditional format! Registered Level 1-12 dancers have been emailed information on how to sign up to dance in the 🎅Hyde Park Santa Claus Parade🎅 with us on Saturday, November 27th @ 10 am.
